I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer. I kept getting a UL error code (Unbalanced Load) I replaced the suspension rods but I still get the error code. Control panel was replaced a couple of years ago… Machine goes through the cycle fine until the spin cycle… could it be the stator? How do I test the stator to make sure it work like it should? any help is appreciated…
I had a similar problem, and tried the suspension rods first. No luck. Then I noticed that the drum didn’t turn easily - it seemed to jam up at one point in the rotation. Although the recommended fix is to replace the bearings, I was successful by: 1)removing the drum and lubricating the top of the central shaft, and 2) tipping the tub over, removing the spinning part of the motor assembly (stator?) and lubricating and cleaning everything I could see. It has worked now for at least 20 loads. I expect that I will have to replace the bearings some time in the next 6 months. There are good YouTube videos showing how to remove the drum and remove the motor doohicky, as well as how to replace the bearings when you need to.
