My whirlpool dryer does not stop running on either timer cycle or sensor cycle and is overheating. Clothes are really hot when they come out. I disassembled the vent and cleaned it completely. Then I removed the back panel and lint chute and cleaned the chute and the back side of the dryer. I then cleaned the sensor inside the drum with a scotch brite pad. All this and no change. On timer cycle the dial never moves and the dryer just keeps running. Tried different settings to the same effect. Before I start replacing parts in half the dryer does anyone have any idea what this would be? Any help would be most appreciated.
