I’m hoping someone can answer this question on my Whirlpool Duet Steam Dryer. Recently the dryer stopped turning. All electronics come on, but when I go to run the dryer, after setting the program, the machine just gives a click and then the timer just runs down. The drum never turns and there is no heat. There are no error codes stored in the diagnostics. 220v are coming from the outlet. I removed the toe plate and attempted to check for continuity on the thermal fuse, but it seemed to be ok. Do you know what the click I’m hearing could mean? To be clear, I select a porgram, hold down start and usually the dryer immediately begins turning/heating. Right now there is a one second delay and then a click and then nothing. Is this usually the thermal fuse being bad or are there other things I should be looking at? Thanks for your help!
