Dryer has power going to it but control panel shows no power at all. Light is working inside. Dryer has condensation inside the drum. What could be the problem?
I had this same issue and thought something was fried in my controls. I unplugged the unit for 2 days and had the door open to hang towels from the pool to dry. The day before A&E was coming to repair, I plugged back in the dryer and to my surprise, it worked great. Then I started to think- it’s July, very humid outside with high dew points, I had some condensation inside my dryer (on window) - i must of had some moisture in my electronics and leaving the door open (allowing air conditioned air from my house inside the unit) must have allowed those electronic controls to dry out. I investigated a bit further and found I had some lint build up not allowing my outside flap to fully close on my exterior vent, hence humid, outside air was constantly pouring into the dryer.
I fixed (cleaned) the exterior vent and replaced the lint hose for good measure and the unit has run perfectly since.
I am not a technician and just a semi-handy homeowner, but I thought I would share my experience in case it helps - so best of luck!
