whirlpool icemaker not working

This thing just stopped working. Its has the in door ice n water dispencer. It is not making any ice. When you push the despenser for ice in it just kind hums as though it wants to drop ice but there is none. I am clueless about all this. thanks

What’s the temperature inside the freezer?

Are there ice cubes in the ice bin?

no its not making anything

The water fill tube to the ice maker could have frozen shut.

I checked a white hose that goes up back of refrigerator. I guess its to ice maker or it could go to ice maker, what ever it goes to its fine n not frozen. The water in the door does work if that matters. Is there any trouble shooting for dummies that I could do?

The water going to the door is not the same water line that goes to the ice maker.

You say you checked the line going to the ice maker, yet you sound unsure of what it is you even checked.

You would need to remove the water line that runs to the ice maker and blow air through it to make sure it’s not frozen shut.

would this line run up the back exposed?

ok i got it. The line is not frozen. What about that thing under the fridge that that line hooks into or the arm that that trips the relay when the ice bin is full?

dont know if this matters but we bought bagged n put it in bin. Its dispenses it through door as it should, it just wont make ice.

any help is appreciated
