The microwave still works, i.e heats and cooks, light comes on etc but the turntable doesnt turn while cooking. I can spin the turntable by hand so no restriction…any ideas?

It could be as simple as a bad turntable motor or loose wire, it could also be a bad circuit on the printed circuit/ control board.
But we can’t really help you without a proper model number from the serial tag on the unit.
