Whirlpool noisy on all wash & drain cycles

This unit was working well then suddenly started making loud noises although it still washes the dishes. The noise is like a bearing whine/roar. I have removed most parts working my way down from inside the tub to the motor looking for debris. After removing each part I turn it on and so far the noise persists. Looking at the diagrams I think only the bearing remains so I figure that’s where the noise is coming from - though I am unable to get the drain impeller off the motor shaft to look at the bearing. The chopper spring is bent as is the chopper blade - so I know something hard went thru there. I found a 3/4 inch screw loose inside. I’m pretty sure I should order the Drain and Wash Impeller Kit (AP3115180) and replace all those parts.

Three questions:

  1. The photo of the kit shows what looks like a bearing but it doesn’t list any bearing. Is the bearing included in the kit?

  2. Do I also need to order the Pump Housing Centering Tool (AP2908817) to be able to install the kit?

  3. Is there a non-destructive way to remove the drain impeller?

Thanks

I found out by calling the 877 number that the bearing is included in the parts for the Drain and Wash Impeller Kit (AP3115180) even though it is not listed.

So anyone else can know that the bearing is in there.

Also, question one in my original post is answered. Thanks
