Whirlpool oven cleaning problem

Every time I use the self-cleaning cycle it blows the thermostat. I just got another part 9759243 which replaces the orig part # 4451442. Don’t know if this will allow me to clean the oven or not. Any one been able to ‘fix’ this problem. Thanks
