Whirlpool Quiet Partner II stops mid cycle

Whirlpool Quiet Partner II (DU1055XTVQ1) installed about 3 years ago. We use it once per month maximum. A couple months ago, wife says it keeps shutting off. After some resets (Normal/Heated Dry and SaniRinse/Heated Dry) I found that if I kept starting cycles and draining, eventually I could get it to run. I could live with that. It seemed it would run better on Light rather than Normal. When it stopped, all the lights shut off. Didn’t seem to be repeatable at any certain part of the cycle.

Last week, it wouldn’t complete a cycle. It would fill up, kick on and run a bit, then completely shut off. I wasn’t as successful as previous attempts to get a full cycle. I started on a internet search for the problem. Pulled the control panel off, verified door switches are working, 110v coming into panel, continuity across fuse, unplugged panel and replugged it in. Tore the insides out to get down to the chopping assembly. Nothing blocking it, seems to be spinning freely. Did not find anything foreign in the disassembly.

Put it all back together, try to run a cycle, but still the same problem. Actually, I would say worse. I can get it to fill up, but every time the motor goes to kick on, all the lights shut off. Drain still works when I hit Cancel.

Not sure if the site will allow it, but here is a link to a video of the failure:

I do have some photos of the chopping assembly when disassembled as well.

From what I have read on forums, I am thinking either I have worn bearings in the motor or a bad control panel. At this point, I think I am out of my league. Anyone willing to offer some advice? Anything else I should check to help diagnose?
