Whirlpool SF395 LEE broiler blows door open when lighting

I have replaced my broiler ignitor but the burner takes a long enough time to light that gas builds up in the oven cavity and blows the door open slightly when it finally lights. The ignitor also stays lit throughout the cook cycle.

My schematic shows that the broil valve is in series with the ignitor and I was wondering if the resistance on my new ignitor is too high. It measures .99 ohms and I have a note on my schematic that says it should be .85 ohms.

The new ignitor is identical physically to the old one as far as how and where it mounts, length, and diameter.

Thank you
