Can you please tell me how to remove the top of the washer in order to repair the lid switch—especially how to get the clamps/brackets off?
Is there a special tool needed?
Would appreciate any assitance/direction you might have to offer.

O.K…this is my 4th attempt to get this questioned sent and answered.
I have a Whirlpool Stack Washer. Can you please tell me how to remove the top of the washer in order to replace the lid switch…especially any information in regards to how to remove the 2 clamps that hold it in place? Is there any special tool that I need?
