My washer won’t fill with either hot or cold water. Whenever I turn it on it goes directly into the wash/agitate cycle; the spin cycle also works as well. Checked all of the hoses for kinks and found nothing, replaced the fill valve and still nothing.

Could this be linked to the knob that you use to select the load size? I am not sure what the switch on this particular model is supposed to do, but I notice that the switch on the washer in question spins 360 degrees with very little resistance whereas on my other Whirpool the knob won’t go beyond the lowest/highest setting and more or less "clicks.". Holy run on sentence Batman! Any help is appreciated.
