I have a Whirlpool side by side fridge WRS325FDAM02 which uses a water filter in the bottom grille with two pipes out the top and what looks like a small rod to activate it.
I’ve been using Pur Filter 1 replacement filters for the past year with no issues however this last time I changed the filter I noticed the water doesn’t taste like it’s being cleaned and the water flow in the door is much higher now than it has ever been, much the same as when I run it without the filter installed.
I’m not sure what to try next, I’ve tried another Pur replacement thinking maybe that filter just wasn’t working right but got the same results now I’m wondering if it’s possible that it just isn’t using the filter when installed at all.
