Working through my dryer issue, I’ve found some things out, but still stumped on others.
The issue is, the dryer works, but the heat won’t stay on. When you set the timer/selector and push the start button, the dryer starts and after maybe 30-60 seconds (which appears normal), the ignitor glows and the gas fires up and runs. After maybe four-five minutes, the gas goes off, while the dryer keeps running.
Another start-up attempt will likely get the gas lit, but it shuts off almost immediately. At this point, when you re-start the dryer, it rotates and you can hear the click for the ignitor, but no flame.
If you wait about a half hour, it will run like the first attempt and then do the same things as before.
Does this sound like an issue with the gas unit or is it the thermostat? I have no reason to think that gas flow itself is the issue.
Input is appreciated. Thanks.
