My Kenmore d/w model 665.13743k01 recently started making a high pitched whistling noise during, and only during the wash cycle. Cleaning is still good, water evacuation is complete, no obvious debris is at bottom center of d/w, all water ports on cleaning arms seem to be unobstructed. Air gap and hose seem to be unobstructed and sound appears to be only coming from the d/w and not the hose/air gap in adjacent cabinet.
Do I have some sort of internal obstruction in the waterways, or do I have a bearing going bad…the sound seems more "air like", and not "metal/bearing like", although I suppose it could be either…
Gonna pull the unit out Saturday and see if anything obvious is amiss.
