Will fuse removal cut power?

The microwave in our GE dual microwave/wall oven blew. Repairman came and determined a relay was at fault, then shut off the breaker for the entire circuit without disconnecting the microwave. Will removing the 15-amp fuse in the microwave suffice in disconnecting it so I can turn the circuit back on and use the oven? Thanks!

Hi.
Without the fuse your microwave should not have any power.
Check if there is the light when the door is open.

When the microwave blew, everything quit working-- no light, no touchpad. Right after the it blew, though, the floor in the chamber got super hot, so I turned off the breaker. Before doing so, I checked the oven to ensure it was working and all was well with it. I’m just afraid if I turn the breaker back on to use the oven, something else will happen to the microwave. I’m hoping the fuse removal will solve my dilemma.
