will not stay running after start button is released

The dryer will only run if the start button is pressed and held in. The start button was replaced with no benifit.TALKING TO PART SUPPLIERS I’VE HEARD BOTH RELAY OR MOTOR MIGHT BE THE ISSUE.
PLEASE HELP!

Very likely the problem is a bad motor relay (next to the start switch). There is another relay (heater) which is identical to the motor relay. You can switch them for the test only.
