Hi all,
I noticed a month ago that the agitator stopped working on for my GE washer (model: WSM2700DAWWW). I tightened the cap and it started working again for a few loads before I noticed that it had stopped working again (or, it could have not worked for those loads and I just didn’t notice).
Regardless, it’s not working anymore. I’ve read many other threads on this forum for similar problems, so I tried to pull off the agitator to get a look and determine if there’s a ball, hub, or drive that’s missing teeth. Unfortunately, when I pull up the agitator, there’s not enough room to get it off due to the dryer on top of it.
So here are my questions (finally, I know):
- How do I get the agitator off?
- what’s the most likely problem - is it the drive hub (part PS271839)?
