Have an old Amana washer that has been great for 11+ years. But this morning the belt broke. I had one and changed it. But sadly when machine was tested the motor pulley spins away but the belt did not move. So I figure that either the belt is too loose or I’ve got a whole different issue. I ordered a idler pulley spring as I see no other way to tighten the belt, I thought maybe the spring was worn out.
Does it sound like this might fix it? If it does not I don’t think I’ll want to investigate much more as it is old and not worth much of an investment.
Thanks for any opinions . . . .
