First off, I am guessing on the age, I’ve had the washer for about 3 years and got it used. It doesn’t have any noticable rust, I’m guessing it is 5 - 10 years old.
Last night it pumped out, but wouldn’t spin. Motor was running. I pulled the front cover off and found that the idler pulley was below the belt. The pulley has a small chip off one edge. I flexed the belt, and pushed the pulley back up into what I assume is the correct position. Now the washer spins, seemed to me that it operated normally. However, my wife says that it only spins at "about 80%" and doesn’t drive the water out of the clothes as it should.![]()
Where do I look to find that other 20%?
Model # LWA30AW
Mfg # PLWA30AW
Serial # R 9704027339
Raytheon Appliances
Amana Washer
Thanks in advance.![]()
Unfortunately, there are later developments. After doing several loads of wash at 80%, the pulley has apparently jumped off track again, my son says it is once again pumping the water out, motor running, but not spinning. I am at work, so can’t confirm that the pulley has jumped until I get home tonight.
Again thanks
