I’ve tried to find an answer to this but the forums I found with some answers always start with the timer or lid switch and no one has reported back as those being the issue when they replace it and the thread just dies after a couple more suggestions with no answers.
I’ve got the typical won’t spin unless you open the lid or press the timer switch off. This happens 90% of the time and when you reset, you can hear a metallic pang sound, sometimes rather loud and sometimes not as noticeable. I’ve torn down the washer to the tub and when it does spin, the clutch spins with it. The weird part is when it doesn’t spin, the pump just keeps draining the whole time during the spin cycle. It never pauses and just runs out the timer for the cycle. Is there a sensor that needs to be replaced or am I looking at a transmission issues? Thank you in advance.
