hi,
I have a frost free side by side refigerator that is having an issue with the freezer drain hole icing up. I have twice defrosted the fridge and cleared the ice with hot water and baking soda. I also ran compressed air and verifed and reverifed that there were no clogs in the drain. I even removed the back panel of the fridge and cleaned the drain pan etc.
The fridge was defrosted each time for about 36 hours and one the second time, I re routed the drain hole away from the drain pan and into a container as my drain pan was wet with water from the flushing. This was done to see if the water was indeed being drained out. However the container is dry. The defrost heater (which is a filament inside a glass tubing) is coming on simply by the fact that I have seen the glow in the freezer and that water is icing up the drain tube. The drain slope is fine. I just don’t see why water is not going down the drain hole.
What more do I need to do or check to get this resolved?
Thanks in advance
