Bake setting provides no heat

I’ve read through the forums to kinda get a clue about my particular problem. The broiler functions fine, the bake function does not. After 30 sec, I can see a glow through the vents on the oven bottom, but I do not hear the flow of gas nor is it producing heat.

Up until last night, (when my wife showed concern that we’d have to eat out), the oven would heat up on bake, but the time to preheat got longer and longer.

I believe the problem is due to a faulty oven igniter, even though there is a glow it is not allowing the gas through to light. I may or may not be correct about this.

Moreover, I am unsure how to remove the oven bottom to inspect the burner assembly. I’ve gone over the oven/base diagram supplied here on the site, I cannot release the clips in the back of the oven base. Is there a trick or tool that I need?

Any information provided is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jim, I’ll look into getting that part right away.

My second question is about the oven floor. Do I go about this from inside the oven or from underneath? The oven floor does move, though I do not want to break it. Any tips?

Thanks again.

I would check and clean your stove top orifices, and make sure the crossover on the oven pipe. to clean the orifices on top, I use a small piece of wire to clean the hole. I always like to do the free or inexpensive things first.

I cleaned the orvices on top with a torch tip cleaner and still no help. I dont understand "make sure the crossover on the oven pipe" Please elaborrate thanks much!

Towards the front of the burner tube is a slit so the gas can travel to the other side of the burner

I cleaned orfices w/ torch tip cleaner (a set of them). Still same result. I also do not understand "make sure over crossover post"

Sounds like the pressure regulator to me, try to give the pressure regulator a couple of whacks with the handle of a screwdriver to see if it is hung up. I have to do that with my BBQ everynow and again.

My GE washer is out of balance still works but is banging really bad . The inter basket is tilted to the right back corner of the washer . I need to know what parts to order to fix it. I have 4 kids that really go through the cloths so the sooner I fix the better.

Recently purchased replacement ice maker and it wil not allow me to replace ice tray due to power cord. Once I add the 4 pin adapter cord, which is needed, the ice tray cannot be replaced due to excess cord and there is no place to route it out of the way. The plug is in the side panel not the rear panel.
