My dishwasher would not drain. Checked all filters and hoses, no problems.
Removed dishwasher. Removed side panels. Found some hoses with a lot of stuck on debris.Cleaned all. Cleaned the two plastic housing (w/ flost switches) on left side. Reinstalled all and replaced dishwasher in opening.
Now no water is entering the machine.
The dishwasher comes on makes noise of motor, clicks, but will not fill.

check the float , it may be stuck in the up position.
I ended up trying to pull the dishwasher out and this jostling may have unstuck the float.
I also used paper towels to soak up the basin on the underside of the dishwasher, which had standing water in it. This basin is accessible by removing the front, bottom cover and reaching your fingers over the white plastic base.
After doing these 2 things I plugged everything back in and voila it worked!

This is awesome. I acquired a second hand bosch dishwasher through craigslist, got it all set up, would not fill. Found this forum, found the idea about the water in the plastic drain pan, tried it, now everything is working perfectly!
