Hello folks,
I have an 11 year old Bosch dishwasher (model SHX46A05 UC/14) that shows no signs of life. It got half way through a cycle and quit. No lights or evidence of any electrical activity when the power switch is turned on.
After looking through numerous threads in the forum for possible answers, I have checked the following:
-
On/Off switch. It is functioning properly based on continuity tests I’ve seen elsewhere.
-
Continuity from power input to on/off switch. There is 120v power at the hot wire to the on/off switch, and I checked continuity for the neutral line from the power input to the switch, so feel I’ve eliminated the common "power wire broken where the door opens" problem as a possible cause.
-
Door latch switch. I was skeptical on this one, but read a thread where replacing the micro switch in the door latch mechanism fixed the problem, but no dice for me.
I’m reasonably certain that I have power properly attached to the unit, and that power is getting to the (properly functioning) on/off switch.
If anyone has ideas about what I should check next (and how to do it), I would be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance,
John
