Does anyone have experience disassembling a Bosch Nexxt door for a WFMC2100/01? This is the one with the larger door, with the plastic housing. The seal is on the inside, not attached to the "window" itself.
My appliance repairman was diagnosing what was ultimately a bent bracket. When removing the door, a small metal nut fell out of the interior of the door. It’s necessary to hold the door to the bracket. I have the nut, but the door won’t close cleanly without that piece held firm.
I believe the solution is to take apart the door to get the nut back in place. It’s a spiked nut, which I presume is supposed to stay in place as it’s pressed into the plastic inside the door.
I gave it a try; unclipping the top tabs, and started to make my way around the perimeter of the door as it seems to snap in place. I ran into enough resistance that I decided to wait until I knew where the connections were, and/or the repairman could come back. I’m doubtful he knows how to disassemble it, so I’m hoping to get some help.
