Broiler won't light

I have a Thermador range (not sure of age). Broiler wouldn’t light so I was told to change ignitor. Changed out but still nothing. Won’t light and gas does not circulate so circuit or something is not completing, what should I look for and how to check it? Oven and cooktop work fine.

Thanks.

I too am having this same problem. I replaced the igniter and it still will not glow. I’m not getting power to the igniter for some reason. After a bit of testing, I found that when the rotary knob on the front is turned to BROIL I am getting power to the dual gas valve on the back of the range but power is not passing through to the igniter. I have tested the igniter by hooking it up directly to power and it glows red hot. Could this be a switching problem inside the gas valve? Help!

I am assuming that the igniter doesn’t glow. The igniter and the gas valve coil are in series meaning that if the gas valve coil is open the igniter will not work. The gas valve will have to be replaced to repair your oven. This is not a common problem, which is why you were told to replace the igniter. Gas Oven Repair Guide

Thanks I am going to try the gas valve. I had noticed that it also states a dual-valve is that why the oven will light but the broiler will not? The top or range area works fine, too but occasionally the ignitors will click while in use. I had read somewhere this may be a grounding issue? But do want to ask, when it was ohm’d out I am getting a reading of around 152-159 every where I am reading it says 3-5. Both new and old one are reading the same, am I doing something wrong?
