broken idler pulley spring

  1. will a broken idler pulley spring cause the drum not to spin up to speed? 2. if so how hard is it to replace? I have pulled the front cover and the belt tensioner just flops back and forth. Will the new spring fix the problem? I do have some mechanical background. What is the best way to replace this? thanks

if there is no tension on the belt it wont tumble the sping is easy there are two holes each end of the spring hooks into its sometimes easier from access panel in lower left corner from rear to secure spring

Ice/water collects over a period of several days in the bottom of the freezer and eventually spills over and leaks out the front and onto the floor. It is not apparent what the source of the leak is. Any ideas?

We suspect the water is coming from the back wall of the freezer. Could this just be condensation?

Your drain tube is stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it’s stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little air pressure will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough. The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Remove the back panel of the freezer and use a turkey baster and hot water to thaw out the drain. I stick a 12 gauge copper wire down the dran with the other end wraped around the defrost heater, this will prevent it freezing again.

Thanks for the input. I did as you stated and it worked great.
