I have a Cabrio washer that is leaking water from the bottom middle area where the rotor is located. I verified it isn’t from anyplace else.
I downloaded a service manual and proceeded to remove the agitator and inner tub. I found dark brown "goo" inside the outer tub, around the drive shaft. I am guessing this is bearing grease.
Other syptoms include "uL" and "sD" being displayed a lot for no apparent reason. When the washer gets to where it should spin @ 8 minutes left, the inner tub will turn back and forth approximately 60 degrees… as if it doesn’t know what to do next. If it does spin, it is much louder than when the washer was new.
My guess is the bearings are shot?
Problem Solved.
I bought the outer tub that arrived yesterday and I replaced it this morning (the drive shaft bearings were toast). No more leaking on the floor, it drains and spins now, and no error codes displayed.
how do you download the service manual since i am having many problems with my cabrio as well and the manual would be real helpful
thank you i will try working on it this weekend
Where did you buy the outer tub?
Ours leaks worse everyday, haven’t really noticed any NOISE or squeal, I tried silicon arount the stator, and outside the bearing area, I don’t want to spend 400 for the tub, when I can get a newer model, but I would spend 88 for the tub bearing/seal, if that would do the trick… ??
