Calypso gets stuck at rinse cycle

In both Normal and Quick wash, the machine seems to go thru the wash cycle fine but once it gets to rinse it goes into kindof a "dance". Water comes into the the tub, the tub moves slowly one direction, then the other, the drain pump kicks on. Each of these actions may only last a second or two. It seems lost and irratic. At times it will stay on 20 minutes remaining and never count down and other times it will take 4 minutes to go from 20 remaining down to 19 remaining.

I have had the pump out and all looks clear. I also removed the agitator and found a couple of quarters.

Still the same. Any ideas?

I have had the same issue. I have narrowed it down to a bad motor control board. I am hoping this is what the issue is as the board is not cheap.

For mine it was actually the Machine Control Board. I found someone with the exact problem on **************************.com. AppliancePartsPro did have the lowest price though. Good luck.

Thanks Rod…that is the kind of help I was hoping for. I will order that board and see what happens. I will get back to you with the results.
