The dishwasher came with the house I recently purchased and appeared to be use very little. In fact I thought it was brand new. It’s 5 years old. It worked for the first couple of months. Although it did seem to run incomplete cycles. Now the Cancel light blinks constantly. No other lights are on or come on when I select a cycle. I’ve done the following troubleshooting. Cycled power at breaker. Filled tub manually and it did drain after I cycled power again. I accessed the chopper and it moved freely. I decided to throw a Circuit board at it. Problem continues. I am unable to find a wiring diagram for this model, so I am kinda stuck. If anyone can help me out with some suggestions on what to do next or has access to a wiring diagram, it would be greatly appreciated.
I had a similar problem where my clean light blinked 7 times in a row.
I found out that this happens if the the water doesn’t rise in temperature 2-4 degrees during the wash cycle.
There is a sequence you can put in to reset the dishwasher.
"Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY buttons in that sequence two to three times. The unit will enter diagnostics mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button. This will clear any existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation."
My problem was that my heating element was covered in hard water deposits. I cleaned it off. I also make sure to run hot water from the tap to get hot water in the line before starting the dishwasher.
I read this problem could be caused by any of these - bad heater, thermostat, heater relay, unbalanced dishwasher or very low water level.
Hope this helps.
