Everywhere on the internet I’ve read how easy it is to replace the Dogs on the cam agitator unit. I’ve taken out the agitator but CAN NOT get the top clothes mover piece off of the bottom agitator. Multiple places on the internet say to just "give it a good yank" but I’ve actually strained my back pulling so hard. I also read that there are small plastic pieces that may need to be broken with a screw driver. I tried that and only managed to punch a hole through the plastic of the bottom agitator (is that now ruined?). The clothes mover still has not budged. I can not find any other bolts or parts to remove. I’m very frustrated that this 10 minute project has now taken multiple hours. Any help or advice would be appreciated!
i have a ge washer that actually had holes in the lower agitator to tie a rope through. Tie that rope to a 4-5 foot 2X4 and use leverage to pop it out. i was amazed at how much force was necessary to remove it. Good Luck hope it helps
