I need to replace the dogs in washer’s agitator. I was able to get the agitator out of the washer. How do I take the agitator apart? I can’t get to the dogs.
I removed the bolt OK, but my problem was taking the top part of the agitator apart from the bottom part in order to get to the dogs. I finally stood the agitator on the floor, stepped on the edges of the bottom part & pulled up really hard on the top piece. It came apart. I just wasn’t pulling them apart hard enough. Thanks.
A lot of times agitators are hard to get out and you always worry about applying too much force.
