Our 1998 GE washer is not spinning out the clothes and making a horrible sound, like a jet but rattling too. Is it the bearings? Is it worth fixing? We don’t have the money to buy a good new one. Thanks for any input…know nothing about machines. My husband is pretty handy though…is it something he could fix? Thanks again.
