Compressor Works Erratickly

My Frigidaire fridge did not work, so I started replacing partsbeginning with the thermostat defrost kit. After I replaced it, thefridge worked only for a few hours and then stopped. I next replacedthe control defrost adaptive timer with the new AD4 kit. Refrigerator worked only intermittently, but then stopped. Then Iorder from this site relay & plug kit and capacitor. After thatlast replacement, refrigerator started to work, but when Idisconnected it for a few minutes, it would only work intermittentlyagain - run maybe 10 seconds and stop for a few minutes.

How can I troubleshoot for bad parts?

If you used the factory service part and wired it exactly as the old one, the syptoms show a compressor drawing high current and shutting down on it’s klixon overload. If it tries to re-start after a period of time, that confirms a bad compressor and not a power problem with the fridg.
