control board

I have a Whirlpool double oven and the model number is RBD305PDB8. I have had the control board replaced once before and now I am told that it has been discontinued and that I would have to have someone rebuild mine. I need to know how to remove it so that I can take it to get it rebuilt. Could someone please help me.

Thanks
ES

This should help
http://appliancedigest.com/index.php?/files/file/251-kr-30-whirlpool-electric-built-in-double-oven-service-manual/

You will have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and has a wealth of information for the appliance DIYer.

He might want to check that thermal fuse in the back, and be sure it is not blown!! Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com

Thank you so much for your suggestions…I will try that.
Have a Great weekend!!

You may want to post the problem/symptoms if you are not sure that it is the control board.

As with anything electronic I would remove power from the unit for 10 minutes or so just to see if it will reset.

Also there may be a thermal fuse in the control console, see page 3-2 in the manual.

Denman, how did you like my link yesterday??? Tom

very funny

Just trying to crack you up!! I have that picture on my computer screen!! I laugh everytime I see it!! Life is too serious!! We all could use a good laugh!! Tom

Take off side trim (open oven doors). Remove screws holding oven to wall. Slide oven out 5 inches or so. Remove control panel screws on both sides ( Don’t let it fall) Take off plastic holder. Make a record of where all the wires go. Remove wires (Ribbon has a plastic keeper; squeeze ends and lift up. Push in tabs on front and back to release the board.
