Hi; I have a familiar problem. Our Dacor electric wall oven beeps F1 error every so often. I take the panel apart, undue the connections, douse em with contact cleaner, and put it back. Good for 6 months, then repeat. Now, next time it starts beeping consistently, I am going to pull the ribbon to the touch panel off, without any other fussing, and see if it stops. If it stops, the problem is with the touch panel. If it does not stop beeping, it’s the ERC. But in this case, is there any chance the problem is the relay board not the ERC?
Just want to make sure since these parts are spensive.
thanks

Hi; perhaps you’ve resolved your problem by now, but we just replaced both our relay board (PCB) and then the ERC. I have not found any specific instructions for diagnosing/testing the PCB. In our case, I knew the relay board was bad, since a short circuit (from the oven light) went straight to the PCB and arced across to the case. After replacing the PCB we still had the F1 error and the fan would be on constantly. I followed the mfgr instructions for error code F1 and tested the voltage across pins 1 and 3 from the ERC to confirm that the ERC was also affected. Replacing the ERC remedied the issue. The last thing I need to check (I hope) is the resistance of the oven temperature sensor (Dacor Support says it should be 1050-100 Ohms at room temp) because I suspect the displayed temperature is less than actual. Hope this helps.

Temp sensors are pretty standard see below link

Also the temp readout can usually be calibrated up or down 35 degrees.
Should be in the manual, if you do not have the manual you can download it from the Dacor site.
Thanks. Checked our oven temp and it appears to be accurate. Haven’t had it checked with a professional digital thermo, but seems to be baking as we would expect.
i have the same problem, but they tell me the ERC is no longer made. mine is model cpts230, about 8 years old. did you have any trouble finding the erc part?
I just discovered these guys in Canada who repair and sell refurbished ECR / timers, etc. Much cheaper than replacement and guaranteed for a year. Brilliant!
Plus, if you know where all our e-waste ends up (in the blood streams and nervous systems of people in the developing world–no joke, that stuff is toxic) this is a much better and more conscientious option. Yay Canada! They are good neighbors.

I have a Dacor single electric oven, model ECS127SBK. All was fine until I took a burned out light bulb out and now it’s this constant ticking. Another post suggested replacing the relay (PCB) and ERC. Thoughts? Thanks for the post on the Canadian company, I may have to use them if it comes to that. At least for the ERC … not sure they have relays.
