Replaced damper control kit due to damper not opening unless tapping on front control panel. Now fridge is below 30 degrees. I checked to make sure no connections loose. The damper box kit came prewired, I had to rewrap the heater on the freezer control when I transferred it to the new part. I used multi purpose HVAC metal foil tape, is this the correct foil tape to use? Could this be the problem?
There are two switches on the damper control. The wires to those switches should be already connected when you received the assembly. Make sure they are connected properly and both switches are good. Otherwise just call the APP customer service (if you ordered there) and they will replace it under the part warranty.
