Detergent Dispenser Not Working

My detergent dispenser stopped working about a year ago and I finally decided to take off the front panel to see what I could find. I found the relay that activates the lever to release the dispenser door and it has a big "bubble" in it. Looks like some of the windings shorted causing heat which "bubbled up" and melted.

Wondering if anyone can direct me to a part number to replace this relay. I tried the "parts search" on this site but my model number doesn’t show up.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Andy,

Whirlpool does not sell a separate parts for the soap dispenser. You have to buy the whole dispenser assembly. Good thing is - it’s not very expensive.

The part number for the control board is AP3775998 and APP sold it for $74.78
