I have a Whirpool dishwasher and it was working fine for a long time. The other day my wife asked that I fill it with Jet Dry since it’s low. The dishwasher was a little smelly too, so I poured 1-2 cups a vinegar and ran a cycle. I also poured in about 6 oz. of Jet Dry.
I turned it on and it started to leak right below the door area. I then ran a few more cycles thinking that it there was too much Jet Dry and the unit was spilling over. I didn’t see bubble pouring out or anything, it appears to be just clearish water.
I then ran 3-4 more cycles with dishes and the water is still coming out. I would say about 3-4 cups of water for every cycle. I checked for a cracked arm and it looks fine. I even cleared any junk that was inside the small holes on the arm.
The dishwasher still leaks. I searched around on the net and it appears that the most likely cause is the door seal. I inspected and cleaned the door seal. It’s still really soft and looks fine with no cracks.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try next?
Remove the kick plate so you know exactly where the leak is.
Some units have a piece that goes between the two ends of the door seal at the bottom.
Make sure the pump seal is flat on the bottom of the tub

I took off the kickplate and there is no leak underneath. I can see the pump the hose and there is no water at all underneath. It all comes from underneath the door and then down onto the face plate below the door and then on the floor.
My GE Spectra electric oven keeps tripping the breaker. My wife says that when it does trip the breaker, it pops. We’ve also noticed a burning smell lately.
When I pulled the back panel off, there are burned spots on the inside of the back panel where the contacts for the broiler and lower element have been arcing to the back panel. It has arc-ed all the way through the metal back panel in one spot.
Also, the other day, cooked breakfast, turned the oven off (knob was off and indicator light went off). When we came back from Church 4 hours later, oven was still running at 350 (knob and light were still off).
Any repair ideas - or time for a new oven (oven is probably 15 years old).
