Doesn't spin or drain

I apologize. I couldn’t find the model number. It’s a 10+ year old Whirlpool top loader direct drive ‘heavy duty.’

Washer won’t drain or spin. Makes a quietish ‘buzzzzzz’ sound when timer is pressed in that mode. After disassembling the cabin I took off the pump and turned the motor by hand. I then put it back together and it started pumping and lightly spinning. Then I opened the lid, it stopped. Closed the lid, and it did the ‘buzzzzz’ again. I took it apart, turned the motor by hand, back together, and it spun again. I let it pump out the water with a ‘slow’ spin, then I opened it, and closed it. ‘buzzzzzzzz’

Is this the motor?

Try replacing the coupler if broke…(between motor and transmission) if that dosn’t work the capacitor on the motor may be bad or the timer is not giving the proper voltage to the motor…
