our door handle broke and i cant tell if i need to pull the whole door off and remove the back panel or if the handle is actually in two pieces and come apart. There are two screws that secure it to the front of the door. :frowning:

any suggestions?

Me again, this is the part number i found on this web site.

It appears the door must come off but now i can find our how to un hitch the door and install the new handle. looking for some advice or install the handle.

I do not think you have to remove the whole door. Remove just the choke cover (#56 on the [B]Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FMV156DCB Frigidaire/microwave | AppliancePartsPros.com. Thanks for the inforamtion, another questions, does the cover pop off, the diagram is blury by it looks like it the part alway in the back of the diagram, without the microwave in front of me, how do i remove the choke cover.

Thanks Gene i was able to access the video at home and hope my butter knife works to pry open choke cover. I really appreciate the help on this as well as your patience in working with me!

Can you buy a Stainless steel handle for the FMV156DCC? My plastic hanlde is broken. I have found the AP3774313 part.

Chris,

Frigidaire does not make stainless steel door handles for this model. Only black, white or bisque.

The part number you posted is the correct part number for the black door handle.
