The wife had a large load in and had it on high when it shut off. Now there is no power at all and I have already bypassed the door switch and the thermal fuse and still no power. Checked the cord and it has power so not a problem there. I am thining it is in the control itself. Is that where I need to check and how can I check that with my tester?
Most likely the problem is open thermal fuse. Itโs wired in before the door switch, so if itโs open - nothing works.
The fuse is located near the heater.
On the breakdown diagram 5 position 5. (See the attachment).
The replacement part comes as kit which include safety thermostat and two fuses. Choose the right one according the instructions.
Yeh I had only bypassed the hi limit thinking that was the thermal fuse. After bypassing the thermal fuse it kicked right on. Ordering the the kit to replace the part now. Is it imperitive to tear into the bracket and take out the old fuse or can you mount it somewhere else and tie it off and electrical tape it? Thanks for the help!
The position of the fuse is very important, DO NOT put it anywhere else.
Take the dryer a part and clean all lint around the blower, the motor and inside the ducts.
Make sure there is a good air flow.
