Dryer makes thumping sound

Dryer makes thumping sound and the Rear drum felt seal is hanging out in that spot.Does not spin even.:frowning:

You probably have worn roller supports. You may need to replace the rear felt as well.

Thanks Magic Man that was the problem

how do I get the felt and the roller supports? The same problem is happening with my Maytag. I don’t see the felt on the parts list

Post your model number.

I’m not entirely sure, because there’s no picture, and they call this part something different, but I think this is what you’re looking for. AP4045381

I called and can’t find one that knows about the felt where can I get it???

I have 2 issues:

  1. There is a temperature balance issue; Top of fridge & freezer is 10-12 degrees warmer than bottom.

I have a missing freezer light cover (just below evaporator fan) that I believe diverts air from the evaporator to the fridge and suspect it may be the problem but would like to verify if this could be the culprit.

  1. There is an intermittent whining sound that I have yet to pinpoint location. I suspected the evaporator fan, but it seems to be running fine and without noise…
