Timer on maytag dryer keeps locking up and will not turn. After first occurance i was able to free up motor and dryer worked fine for a few days. Second time timer locked up was able to free up once again but now dryer is not heating. Knob seems to be turning very freely but i am not sure if all gears inside are turning. Should i replace timer or is something else causing this to happen?
