I just replaced the timer on my Maytag dryer. (33002855). The issue I had with the old timer is that it would not turn on unless you pulled it just right.
The new timer pulls on and pushes off without a problem. However, it does not seem to time, it never automatically shuts down, even in "timed mode". Also- opening the door will not switch the dryer off either!
Is the timer bad, does a contact need to be rewired on the plug, is it something else?
