Dryer starts and heats on moisture sensor cycle but stops after 5 minutes. Runs to completion on timed cycle without problem. Exhaust port removed and no clog obvious.
If your saying the dryer stops heating or running altogether, the timer is faulty. If your saying the timer stops advancing, that is something else.

The dryer stops completely after several minutes if running on the moisture sensor setting. However, it doesn’t stop when on the timed setting. Do you still think the timer is the problem?
Yes, faulty timer.
