dryer turns itself off after a couple of minutes

Every time I try to use my dryer it works fine for a couple of minutes - then turns itself off. It doesn’t matter which setting it is on (heat or no heat). The vent is clean and lint free. The heater (electric) works great cycles on and off. It’s not an over heating issue since the dryer turns off even when the heat is turn off. Help?

Your model number seems to be missing the first 3 digits.
Sears/Kenmore model numbers are usually 3 digits, a period and then 8 digits.

If it shuts off and you have to wait several minutes before it will re-start then odds are that the motor is overheating. It then has to cool down so it’s internal thermal protect resets before you can re-start.

Try turning the drum in the correct direction to see if there is a problem with too much drag on the drum.
It should turn fairly easily.
You may want to try this on a couple other dryers to get a feel for it.
