dryer turns self on, beeps with lights

For the last 2 years my drier has turn itself on (errie), by green light lighting up and beeping. Sometimes it will stay inactive for a few hours, as time goes by, the spans of the activity shortens to only a few min. in between. I have unplugged it and replugged it and reprogrammed(I guess) again, by resetting cycle. The machine will dry for a few hours without problems- then it will act up again. I unplug the dryer to avoid the annoyance. I even called the Frigidaire hotline and was told that they were not familiar with the problem. Please, what is going on? Model no. LEQ1442ES1 ser.XD91002823
