Dryer will not Shut off

I replaced the timer on my maytag dryer and it still will not shut off on timed dry or electronic dry. I can advance the timer to off and it will not shut off

Hi.

Check if the start/control switch actuator is connected to the solenoid. If it’s not the dryer wont stop.
